Pied-billed Grebe, Podilymbus podiceps: Viera Wetlands; Viera, Florida |
Floating on swirls of green this winter plumed Pied-billed
Grebe was feeding amongst a flotilla of Ring-necked Ducks at the Viera Wetlands
near Viera, Florida. Sitting along the shoreline of the water impoundment
I patiently waited for the grebe to separate itself from the flock of
ducks. Finally the grebe swam away from
the ducks allowing me to get this shot among the reflected vegetation.
