Great Blue Heron, Ardea herodias: Viera Wetlands; Viera, Florida

     On the last day of my recent trip to Florida, I visited the Viera Wetlands.  It was a little slow at the wetlands this trip, but things picked-up when a Great Blue Heron caught a water snake.  I took a lot of images and will post a few more over the next couple of days.

When the heron first caught the water snake it was not clear who would win.  At this point the Great Blue was all wrapped up.
