| Withe Pelicans, Pelecanus erythrorhynchos: Bear River Bird Sanctuary; Brigham, Utah |
The sun was moments away from slipping behind the mountains
when I saw this small flotilla of preening pelicans. I got
the shot as the sun was literally slipping behind the mountains. The light had already turned from gold to a
rosy glow that intensified the pelicans' bills and tinted their white plumage
pink.
