Anhinga Trail in Everglades National Park is one of the top brid photography hotspots in the country. This image of the trails namesake was photographed with with a Nikon D300 and Nikon 500mm f-4 lens. The anhinga was perched on the fence that seperates the trail from the slough. With wings stretched to dry the anhinga preened its wing allowing me to shoot this extreme close-up compostion.
