May 9, 2016 Transit of Mercury

     For all of you amateur astronomers, and celestial photographers out there, a big event will occur on Monday, May 9th.  Mercury, the closest planet to Sun in our solar system will transit the Sun.  Below is a graphic from the Astronomy Club of Asheville.  The site has some great info about the transit.  Their website is http://www.astroasheville.org/2016-mercury-transit .
